Meteor
shower overnighter and Annual Dolphin Convocation,
May 4 - 5 2008- Each year in the first week of May, huge numbers
of dolphins gather in the Indonesian waters swimming in a gigantic
spiral pattern. No one knows exactly why this happens.
In
Hawaii, we see similar occurrences with our spinner
dolphins during the same time. Join our marine
biologist team this spring to venture
out and research this strange phenomenon. >>>BOOK IT NOW
World
Oceans Day, Sailing Celebration, June 8 - First declared
in 1992 to express a shared belief in halting the worldwide loss of
marine
resources. Share
in "edutainment" events happening worldwide near and around
that date. We will be focusing on Hawaii's
ocean resources this week. Limited to 4 -15 passengers per sail,
a sensitive journey will be taken to explore dolphin habitats, turtles
and reef ecosystems. Ten
things you can do to help protect your oceans.

The Total Lunar Eclipse (when the Moon passes through the shadow of the Earth) is an exciting event occurring for the first time in Hawaii in three years. The Moon's appearance will darken, into an eery copper color, while the stars will blaze against the diminished light from the moon. We can't wait to see how the marine wildlife reacts. >>>BOOK IT NOW
Aurigid Meteor Storm possible! Sept. 1, 1:30 - 4:30am Last predicted storm for 99 years! , Book it now
Computer models predict the possibility of a spectacular meteor storm before dawn this morning when the Earth hits a dust stream shed by Comet Kiess. It’s not a sure thing (plus the moon is bright - however so are the meteors), but the prospect of seeing hundreds or even thousands of meteors streaking through the sky should be enough to get you out on the water and either up really late or really early!
Ghost Ship, Halloween Night, Oct. 31th
Master Storyteller Jeff Gere hosts our 5th annual Wild Dolphin Foundation "Ghost Ship" fundraiser. Three hours of true, local, supernatural tales rooted in Hawaiian culture and other chilling stories, mixing humor with horror - on the water - in the dark.
Set sail into the sunset at 5:30 for three hours of "chicken skin" goose-bump experiences, non-alcoholic drinks (BYO witch's brew), and heavy pupus included. $95 per person.
Want to do something even scarier? After the charter, join a group of us up the Makaha Golf Resort, spending the night in the haunted wing. If interested in the overnighter, contact us at Reservations@SailHawaii.com, if you dare.
Dolphins
Gone Wild! Fall and Spring - For our resident pod of wild
spinner dolphins it's usually "social affirmations"
but these are the peak seasons for high numbers of dolphins and they're in top form
displaying high-action courting behaviors.
Fun
for the whole family, join our marine biologist crew to sail
out and learn just what these
behaviors mean and see the dolphins
in the largest population size of the year. >>>BOOK IT NOW
Activities
below combined to maximize adventure travel. For specific details
on each possibility, please click on link below. Evening/night charters
do not include time in the water (excepting overnighters). Snorkeling
on morning charters may be weather or "animal mood" dependant.
While animals may still be viewed from the surface, it is not always
in our best interest to get in the water...
